Pitt County ABC Check Presentation

On September 16th, the Pitt County ABC presented ECU staff and representatives with a check for $35,000 for ongoing alcohol education for ECU students.

The Division of Student Affairs provides alcohol programming and student support that aims to reduce alcohol use and abuse, prevent underage drinking, and treatment options for students. The Pitt County ABC funds will be used for an online education model AlcoholEdu, which all first-year students must complete before attending ECU. The goal of AlcoholEdu is to reduce underage drinking, to ensure that all new students will be exposed to the laws and consequences that pertain to it, and high-risk and low-risk drinking behaviors.
