Annual LOVE WINS event supports the LGBTQ Priority Fund

LOVE WINS, the annual Fall fundraiser for the Dr. Jesse R. Peel LGBTQ Center, was held on Saturday, October 19 and raised more than $20,000 for the LGBTQ Priority Fund.  The fund supports students through scholarships, service learning experiences, and professional development through attendance at national and regional LGBTQ conferences, in addition to the LGBTQ Legacy Project, an annual essay contest.

This event features dinners in host homes and a reception for everyone which includes a silent auction, desserts, and drinks. This year’s event saw a record number of hosts and attendees. Since it was established in 2015, LOVE WINS has helped to foster a sense of community and allowed the Peel LGBTQ Center to share in our vision of a safe and welcoming environment that promotes understanding, acceptance, and visibility of the LGBTQ community through a comprehensive range of educational programming and advocacy services.

On behalf of the Center and all of the students we serve, we thank everyone who was involved in LOVE WINS this year.
