AI in Higher Ed: Technology’s Impact on Student Success

The purpose of the conference is to promote a sense of community among faculty and staff that leads to opportunities for building student success strategies for all students. This conference is designed to share, discuss and analyze strategies related to the broad concept of student success. We welcome participation from ECU faculty, administrators, staff, and students, as well as colleagues from local partner institutions.
We are excited to announce the conference keynote speaker will be Mark Roman. Mark is the Managing Partner for Education at Info-Tech and works with members throughout the higher education and K-12 sectors around the world. He also serves on the board of directors for EDUCAUSE, a leading nonprofit association whose mission is to lead the way, advancing the strategic use of technology and data to further the promise of higher education. Prior to joining Info-Tech, Mark was an accomplished higher education Chief Information Officer with extensive experience leading large-scale information systems departments. He is an inspiring leader who has transformed information systems departments to deliver leading edge solutions, and to elevate the value of IT for the entire organization. Mark has served on several boards in the education sector and has also run a successful IT strategy consulting firm specializing in education clients.
The 2025 Student Success Conference will highlight and explore how artificial intelligence and other technology impacts our work as professionals and the daily lives of students. Keynote speakers and concurrent sessions will discuss innovative strategies, best practices, ethical dilemmas, and emerging research projects focused on this theme.
