Volunteer

There are a variety of ways you can get involved in the larger Student Affairs community. Some examples are indicated below

Campus-wide Involvement opportunities

Numerous committees are available within the university. Employees within Student Affairs are active in a number of division-specific groups in addition to committees that have representation from outside the division. Examples include but are not Plunge Into Purple, Pirate Palooza, Homecoming, Environmental, Staff Senate, Student involvement & Leadership also includes over 300 student organizations which each have faculty/staff advisors.


Appointment-Only Opportunities

The Student Affairs Executive Council (SAEC) consists of direct reports to the Vice-Chancellor for Student Affairs. The Student Affairs Leadership Team (SALT) consists of direct reports to an Executive Council member.


Event-specific volunteer opportunities

There are a number of short-term or event-specific opportunities available to assist implementation of programs or initiatives. Some of these include Pirate Palooza, Student Convocation, Polar Bear Plunge, Graduation, and Residence Hall Move-in among others. Opportunities will periodically be announced through emails to the Student Affairs listserv.
