Some topics are best handled by an external, certified financial advisor or tax professional. These appointments focus on day-to-day money management and/or education and do not constitute as “financial advice” for retirement, taxes, investments, or insurance.

Budgeting Basics

Budgeting is a skill that is beneficial no matter what stage in life you are in. Making a comprehensive budget allows you to have more control of your finances and can reduce stress to benefit your overall well-being. This workshop focuses on meeting needs while maintaining as consistent of a quality of life all year by proactively planning for upcoming expenses.

Credit Reports and Scores

People often think that a credit score measures how financially stable or responsible someone is. This is not always the case. Credit Scores have several components into what determines your number, and it can vary for many different reasons even day-to-day. This workshop takes a detailed look at all the components and provides you with unbiased information and support in making decisions related to credit.

Debt Management Strategies / Student Loan Repayment

Debt can be a huge stressor for anyone. This workshop explores strategies that you can use for any form of debt that you can personalize to fit your specific situation and debt load. In addition to discussing general debt management strategies, this workshop also provides an overview of the student loan repayment process, repayment plans, forgiveness programs, and anything else related to undergraduate federal student loans.

Financial Wellness Overview

This workshop provides a surface-level overview of budgeting and credit, while introducing the availability of multiple student loan repayment plans without going in depth on any particular repayment plan. The content of this workshop can be customized to include other topics as well!

Budgeting For The Holidays

This budgeting workshop focuses specifically on planning out gifts for others, which is a category many people do not intentionally think about when constructing their budgets. Feel free to share what you have done to save money during the holiday seasons and learn from one another in this discussion.

Spooky Credit Scores

This is the same, great content provided in our regular credit score workshop but with ghost puns and other Halloween references.

Falling in Love with Credit

This is the same, great content provided in our regular credit score workshop but with hearts and other Valentine’s Day references.

Money and your Personality

Your habits and attitudes towards money can help inform many aspects of your life beyond just your spending behavior, such as your interpersonal relationships with friends, partners, and family as well as inform what makes it easier/harder for you to spend money! Join us for this discussion-based time together to learn more about yourself and those around you.

Talk Money To Me

Discussing finances plays a crucial role in relationships. In this session, we’ll explore the dynamics of effective communication regarding money, share valuable tips, and create an engaging space for meaningful money discussions. Originally offered in collaboration with Campus Rec and Wellness as part of their Pleasure Principle series. This event will empower your relationships with a fresh perspective on financial dialogue!
