Development Staff

The Division of Student Affairs Office of Development provides Division-wide leadership and support in the areas of fundraising, alumni engagement, and corporate support and sponsorship opportunities. Through the establishment and cultivation of relationships with friends, parents, alumni, foundations, and corporations, we work to create shared interests with an ultimate goal of philanthropic support for Division-wide and departmental priorities.

Mission

The Office of Student Affairs Development will sustain a process of building awareness and public understanding of the Division of Student Affairs mission and, positive lifelong relationships with alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends of East Carolina University. The success of these relationships will be measured through increased charitable support, the effectiveness of the institution’s educational programs, and a public reputation for student success.

Student Affairs Advancement Council

To assist the Office of Student Affairs Development, the Student Affairs Advancement Council is charged with using its ties with the greater Pirate Nation community to serve as ambassadors, making others aware of the great things that the Division of Student Affairs is doing for ECU students through scholarships, innovative programming, and outstanding resources.
